Research in Autism is yielding promising information for parents, caregivers, and educational practitioners regarding alternative and creative educational approaches. This engaging presentation will highlight some of the most recent discoveries in the field of ASD, centering on an inclusive community project designed to meet social, emotional, behavioral, sensory, and communication needs for young children and their families impacted by autism.
Dr. Brandt’s professional development interests include issues related to autism spectrum disorders, inclusive communities, and early education inclusive practices. She has a background in Montessori Education and has taught students with special education needs in both public and private setting. She is a trained New Teacher Mentor, and has presented on topics in special education at local, state, national, and international conferences and has published papers on topics related to her research interests.
Ron is a practicing attorney in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, with years of experience in child care law. He is a lecturer and consultant, training child care professionals on a variety of management and legal issues. He has co-authored a variety of publications, including "Current Issues in Child Care". Mr. McGuckin has volunteered on numerous boards and committees, receiving many awards and recognitions.
