35th ANNIVERSARY NATIONAL CONFERENCE, HOW SUCCESSFUL DIRECTORS LEAD

Come celebrate with us!

Everything is bigger in Texas and our 35th anniversary conference in April 2019 will be no exception!

"Legacy is not leaving something for people.  It's leaving something in people." ~ Peter Strople

In 2019, the Association for Early Learning Leaders will celebrate 35 years of investing in leaders in early care and education from all over the nation and beyond.  With a laser focus on developing high quality, equipped and empowered leaders, the Association has become the resource for directors, owners and administrators.  The ripple effect of our investment in leaders has been and continues to be far reaching and incredibly important as it ultimately impacts the youngest learners and those who teach and care for them.

We invite you to be part of this very special conference honoring the Association and the leaders we serve!  This is a must do on your 2019 Training Calendar.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

DAVE DAVLIN

Over 25 years ago, Dave Davlin began bringing smiles to faces with a form of entertainment he developed as a young boy. From NBA and major college arenas across America to the Summer Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea— and even to the world-famous Branson Strip— “Travelin” Davlin has entertained people of every age and background. His amazing ability with basketballs even landed his name and picture in the 1990 Guinness Book of World Records.

Dave began to hone his speaking skills in the early 90’s as a national speaker in the public schools across America. Combining his entertainment ability with a powerful message, he was instrumental in the fight for education and against drugs. At the advice of friends working in corporate America, Dave began to develop presentations for the corporate and association market and the rest is history. He now speaks at numerous corporate and association conferences each year. From public school students to CEOs, Dave’s message has made a difference in the lives of thousands, and his impact continues to grow each year as he shares his philosophy and wisdom through speaking and writing.

ADAM BRAUN

Adam Braun is a New York Times bestselling author and two-time education entrepreneur. He is the Chief Operating Officer of WeGrow, an education initiative by WeWork, and before this served as the Co-Founder & CEO of MissionU (acquired by WeWork in May 2018). He was previously Founder & CEO of Pencils of Promise, the award-winning organization that has built more than 450 schools around the world.
He has been featured as a speaker at The White House, the United Nations and the Clinton Global Initiative. He has also been named to Business Insider’s 40 Under 40, Wired Magazine‘s 50 People Who Are Changing the Worldand was selected as one of the World Economic Forum’s original ten Global Shapers.
Braun began working summers at hedge funds when he was sixteen years old, sprinting down the path to a successful Wall Street career. But while traveling abroad as a college student he met a young boy begging on the streets of India, who when asked what he wanted most in the world, simply answered, “a pencil.”
This small request became the inspiration for Pencils of Promise, the organization Braun would leave Bain & Company several years later to start with just $25. Using his unique “for-purpose” approach, the organization has now raised more than $50M to address global education. Through his work at MissionU and WeGrow, Braun has combined his passion for mission-driven impact to support children and adults in the pursuit of unlocking their greatest potential.

Braun graduated from Brown University and has been a frequent speaker at conferences, colleges and Fortune 500 companies. He avidly engages with his social media following of over 900,000 people and in 2015 he received the nation’s most prestigious award for public service, the Jefferson Award.

His book The Promise of a Pencil: How an Ordinary Person Can Create Extraordinary Change debuted at #2 on the New York Times Bestseller list and went on to become a #1 national bestseller.
